Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole has warned Reds fans that they must stay patient with Brendan Rodgers as he tries to bring success to Anfield.
Cole made his Premier League return for the Reds as a substitute in the frustrating 0-0 draw with Stoke City last weekend.
The 30-year-old thinks that performances have been far better than results for Liverpool in the early weeks of Rodgers's reign.
He told The Sun that the current squad will get results if the positive energy at the club is maintained.
Cole said: "The performances have been good considering everything has changed here.
"The lads are responding well to what we've been asked to do. Of course we need to start winning more games but I can see only positive things.
"But in football there are always some statistics you get hit with, how many games since a clean sheet, goals scored, home wins or whatever. We just have to concentrate on trying to implement that style."
Liverpool are yet to register a home league win this season and currently lie in 14th place in the table.
