Cafu praises Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan

Former Brazil international Cafu has claimed that Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan can go on to be one of the best full-backs in world football.

The 22-year-old earned praise from the former AC Milan right-back during the 2013-14 campaign, as he helped the Reds challenge for the Premier League title during his breakthrough season.

Cafu has said that he met Flanagan on the final day of that campaign and was impressed with him.

"I paid him a visit not long ago," Cafu told FourFourTwo.

"We had lunch and took some pictures together. He is very fit and has everything required to be one of the best full-backs in the world."

Flanagan missed the entirety of last season with a knee injury.
