Report: Burnley, Liverpool need Danny Ings tribunal

Burnley, Liverpool need Ings tribunal?

Burnley and Liverpool have reportedly failed to agree a compensation package for the transfer of Danny Ings and may need a tribunal to decide the fee for them.

Ings, 22, was out of contract with Burnley this summer and Liverpool beat off competition to sign the England Under-21 international last month.

However, because of his age, Liverpool must pay Burnley a compensation fee and this is what the two clubs have been negotiating in recent weeks.

According to The Times, Liverpool have offered a package of up to £6m, but Burnley are standing firm on their valuation of around £10m, meaning that a Premier League tribunal will have to fix the fee for the two clubs.

Ings scored 11 Premier League goals in his debut top-flight season as the Clarets were relegated straight back to the Championship.
