Fabio Borini unconcerned by goalscoring record

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini believes that it is only a matter of time before his strike rate improves.

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has insisted that he is not concerned about his goalscoring record since joining the Reds.

The Italian has found the net just once since signing for the Premier League outfit from Roma, but believes it is only a matter of time before his strike rate improves.

"I know I have been bought to score goals but I don't feel the pressure. I know it will come," The Mirror quotes the forward as saying. "It's just a matter of time for me.

"The same thing happened last season - I scored one goal for Roma before October, then got injured for three months. After that, I scored my second goal in January and from then until March I got 10.

"At Swansea, I got six between March and April (over the course of seven games on loan from Chelsea), so I know from past experience that the goals will come."

Liverpool are in Europa League action tomorrow evening when they take on Italian side Udinese at Anfield.
