Anfield redevelopment 'to begin Monday'

Liverpool will reportedly begin the redevelopment of Anfield on Monday as they aim to increase capacity from 45,500 to 59,000.

The Premier League club's expansion plans were given the green light by Liverpool City Council back in September.

According to The Mirror, the £100m project is expected to begin at the start of next week after the club purchased the final house in the area where they intend to extend the Main Stand.

Construction is expected to be finalised before the start of the 2016-17 campaign.
