John Aldridge: 'Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge forming great partnership'

Liverpool legend John Aldridge believes that Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez are forming a potent strike-partnership because they are on the same "wavelength".

Liverpool legend John Aldridge believes that Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez are forging an impressive partnership because they are on the same "wavelength".

The forwards have scored four goals in two games together in the Premier League this season, with Sturridge the top scorer in the division with six strikes.

"People talk about strikers' styles complementing each other – and that can be true – but at the highest level like in the Premier League, you need strikers on the same wavelength and Sturridge and Suarez certainly are," Aldridge wrote in his Liverpool Echo column.

"They've got the nickname (the SAS) now, and it's thoroughly deserved. [They] are looking like a proper, formidable strike-force, and it is only going to get better.

"I had no doubt that Sturridge and Suarez would forge a lethal partnership because they both have razor sharp footballing brains."

Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League.
