Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will miss Sunday's trip to Bournemouth as he is yet to recover from a calf injury.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Daniel Sturridge will not be in the squad that travels to Bournemouth for Sunday's Premier League clash due to a calf injury.

The England international, who has started just four league matches this season, was absent from the Reds' 2-0 win over Leeds United in the EFL Cup quarter-final in midweek.

The forward has failed to recover at a time when he could force his way back into the lineup due to Philippe Coutinho being ruled out for five weeks with an ankle injury.

Divock Origi could come into the fray as a result of Sturridge's absence, particularly as he scored the opening goal against Leeds at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Adam Lallana has a chance of playing after returning to full training this week, while Roberto Firmino is still suffering with slight pain from a knock, but is expected to feature.
