Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will not be fit in time to play a part in England's friendly internationals early next month, according to a report.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been informed that midfielder Adam Lallana has no chance of making an early return from injury before the next international break.

The 29-year-old has yet to feature for the Reds this term after rupturing a thigh tendon before the campaign started.

Lallana was said to be hopeful of featuring for England in their friendlies with Germany and Brazil in early November but, according to The Sun, he is still more than a month away from a return to action.

Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that the former Southampton ace will spend time in Qatar as part of his rehab programme, with the intention of getting him ready for the league clash against Chelsea on November 25.

Liverpool have won five of their 13 games this season without Lallana, four of which came during the month of August.
