Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirms Emre Can is fit to return to squad

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirms that Emre Can is ready to return to the squad after recovering from ankle ligament damage.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Emre Can is fit to return to the squad, despite initial fears that the midfielder would miss the rest of the season.

The German international suffered ankle ligament damage in the second half of Liverpool's dramatic 4-3 comeback win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League last month.

Can took part in training this week, and now Klopp has confirmed to reporters that the midfielder is "ready to return to the squad for sure".

This means that Can could feature in Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal at Anfield.
