Nathaniel Clyne is a doubt for Tuesday night's Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Stoke City due to a knock.

The right-back did not take part in training on Monday as he is carrying a minor injury to his knee.

Jon Flanagan, who has been out injured for well over a year due to two knee operations, could make his first start since May 2014 at Anfield.

Meanwhile, centre-back Dejan Lovren has returned to full training following three weeks out with a hamstring injury.
