Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby against Everton.

Champions-elect Liverpool resume their Premier League title charge on Sunday night as they take on Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

Jurgen Klopp's side have been made to wait that bit longer for their coronation courtesy of Manchester City's victory over Arsenal on Wednesday night, but a win over their near-neighbours this weekend would leave them only three points away from a first title in 30 years.

Indeed, should they win the derby and then Man City be beaten by Burnley on Monday night then that would also be enough to crown them champions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the Reds' latest injury and suspension news ahead of the short trip across Stanley Park.

Mohamed Salah

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: June 21 (vs. Everton)

Mohamed Salah's absence from training sessions and practice matches has aroused concern over his fitness for the first game back but, while Klopp has admitted that there have been a "few problems" in terms of injuries during lockdown, he refused to rule Salah out of the derby.

Andrew Robertson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: June 21 (vs. Everton)

Like Salah, Andrew Robertson has a minor question mark hanging over his head for the restart but Klopp insists that he is looking "good" in training.

Alisson Becker

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: June 21 (vs. Everton)

Alisson Becker also comes under the same umbrella as Salah and Robertson, with Klopp relatively coy on their fitness but insisting that none of them has been ruled out of the derby.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: June 21 (vs. Everton)

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is nursing an ankle injury sustained during training but is expected to be available for Klopp this weekend.

Adrian

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: June 21 (vs. Everton)

There is a slim possibility that Liverpool could be without their top two goalkeepers for this match, with Adrian also carrying a knock. However, he too is expected to be fit for Sunday.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Xherdan Shaqiri has suffered an injury-plagued campaign and his latest problem has been much more serious than first thought. The Swiss playmaker remains a major doubt for this match, although the full extent of his issue has not yet been revealed by Klopp.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Nathaniel Clyne has missed the entire season so far due to a serious knee injury and may not feature in 2019-20 at all, despite it being extended into the summer months.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
