Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp relishing "special" Anfield bow

Jurgen Klopp tells Liverpool fans to get loud for his first game at Anfield as the Reds host Rubin Kazan looking to kick-start their Europa League campaign.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he cannot wait to experience the "special" Anfield atmosphere for the first time as Liverpool boss in Thursday's Europa League visit of Rubin Kazan.

The German kicked off his Reds career last week for the 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur, but the 48-year-old, who replaced axed Brendan Rodgers, knows that something different awaits him ahead of his first game on Merseyside.

Under Rodgers, Liverpool drew their first two European outings this season, and Klopp has called on the Anfield faithful to reproduce their famous support tonight as the team look to get off the mark in Group B.

"That is what we are all waiting for — one of these special moments. We know about the job we have to do for the special atmosphere," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "I cannot say too much about the atmosphere at Anfield, I want to go there, I want to feel and see it.

"If someone wants to surprise us and be louder than they ever have been in their life, try to do it. That is positive. This game is very important and we have to be patient in a football way. We have one advantage and this is that we play at home.

"It is only an advantage if everyone knows how hard the work will be in this game. I hope that nobody is waiting for 4-0 after three minutes or something like this, or are disappointed."

Both of Liverpool's Europa League games finished 1-1, away to Bordeaux and then home to FC Sion. They sit in second, two points behind the latter.
