Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has claimed that Real Madrid will be dreading the prospect of travelling to Anfield in the Champions League this season.
The Reds, back among Europe's elite after a five-year exile, face the reigning champions on their return to the competition after drawing them in the group stage.
The Spanish giants went down 4-0 when they last faced Liverpool on Merseyside back in 2009, and Fowler claims that another night in front of a partisan crowd will worry Los Blancos.
"I can't wait for the European nights again, they will be special," he told the Liverpool Echo. "It's great to be back in the Champions League.
"Real Madrid won't want to come to Anfield with our fans and the atmosphere here."
Brendan Rodgers's side host Real on October 22, before travelling to the Spanish capital for the away fixture on November 4.
Ludogorets Razgrad and Basel make up the remaining teams in Group B.
