How Real Madrid could line up against Liverpool

Sports Mole predicts the starting lineup that Zinedine Zidane will name for Real Madrid's Champions League final meeting with Liverpool.

Having become the first side to retain the Champions League trophy with victory over Juventus last year, Real Madrid are now seeking a third successive triumph when they take on Liverpool in Saturday's final.

Los Blancos have become masters of winning the competition, doing so three times in four years, and victory against the Reds this weekend would cement their status as one of the all-time great sides.

Zinedine Zidane has selected a settled group in big matches throughout the campaign, but one or two places in his starting lineup for the match in Kiev may well be up for grabs.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Zidane's side could line up at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium.

Predicted Real Madrid XI vs. Liverpool

The big call for the Frenchman to make comes in his forward line, as Gareth Bale has hit form at just the right time and is in contention to start on Saturday.

Bale has scored five goals in his last five games, but leaving out Isco seems unlikely as the Spanish attacker has featured in 10 of Madrid's 12 European matches so far.

There has also been a big question mark over Karim Benzema's future following a largely disappointing campaign, yet the front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco and Benzema have worked wonders in the Champions League to date.

Zidane is almost certain to go with the shape that he knows best, meaning a three-man midfield comprised of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro.

Keylor Navas will be well rested after being left out last time out, meanwhile, with the Costa Rica international being used in all but two of his side's Champions League matches en route to the final.
