Rudi Garcia: 'Lille must beat Montpellier HSC'

Rudi Garcia believes that his side must beat Montpellier to stand a chance of finishing in the top three.

Lille coach Rudi Garcia has admitted that the upcoming match against Montpellier HSC is a must-win if his side are to qualify for the Champions League.

Garcia's side are currently fourth in Ligue 1, three points behind Lyon who hold the final Champions League qualification spot.

"We have to aim for nothing short of victory on Saturday to give us the best possible chance of finishing in the European places," Garcia told Ligue1.com.

"Whatever happens this weekend, our final match of the season against Saint-Etienne is going to be decisive. Montpellier are an excellent side, especially good at home.

"For the moment we are fourth and we have to stay here, at the very least. If we get the chance to go third, we won't say no."

Lille travel to Montpellier on Saturday evening.
