Nampalys Mendy's Leicester exit falls through?

Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy's departure from the King Power Stadium has reportedly fallen through, with the Turkish transfer window now shut.

Following the capture of Boubakary Soumare from Lille and the return of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from a loan spell, Mendy was reportedly given the green light to leave on a temporary basis by Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers.

The former Nice man, who arrived in Leicester in 2016, has spent the international break on duty with Senegal, and alongside his agent was reportedly pushing to seal a late loan move away from the Premier League.

According to Get French Football News, the midfielder had attempted to reach Istanbul to agree a loan deal with Galatasaray, but with the Turkish window slamming shut, Mendy will instead remain in the Midlands.

Such a move will see the 29-year-old return to the Foxes' squad ahead of Saturday's clash with Manchester City, although the midfielder is yet to make a 20-man matchday squad in the Premier League this season.
