Leicester City target comments on possible Jamie Vardy partnership

Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula has said that he possesses the same attributes as Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that he is monitoring the player after he netted 26 goals in the second tier of Italian football, and the attacker has suggested that he backs himself to make an impact at the Foxes should he complete a transfer to England.

The 26-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Vardy and I can both blast the ball. We're very similar and are both determined, even if he is right-footed."

Lapadula has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli.
