Leicester City are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs who hold an interest in signing Huddersfield Town youngster Etienne Camara.

Leicester City are reportedly one of a number of clubs who are contemplating a move for Huddersfield Town midfielder Etienne Camara.

When Camara left Angers for the John Smith's Stadium in October 2020, it was initially to spend time in the Yorkshire club's academy system.

Since then, however, the 19-year-old has gone on to make 15 appearances for the Terriers, 13 of which have come in the Championship during 2022-23.

The Frenchman has made a total of nine starts and four substitute outings, his run of starts commencing after the departure of Danny Schofield in September.

Although Huddersfield remain at the bottom of the standings and four points adrift of safety, Camara is one of the few positives to emerge from their disappointing first period of the campaign.

However, that has left the club in a position where they will have to fend off interest in the youngster's services in the January transfer window.

As recently as this week, Huddersfield revealed that Camara's contract had been automatically extended until 2024 due to a set number of matches being reached.

Nevertheless, according to The Sun, Premier League clubs are ready to try their luck at the turn of the year having recognised his potential.

The report suggests that Leicester, who have money to spend after the sale of Wesley Fofana to Chelsea, have been left impressed by the player's development.

Nottingham Forest, who are no strangers to conducting business with Huddersfield after signing Harry Toffolo and Lewis O'Brien in the summer, are also said to be monitoring the situation.

With a recent history of acquiring younger players, Brighton & Hove Albion are regarded as another potential destination for Camara.

Huddersfield are allegedly ready to demand in the region of £10m if they are to part ways with a key player at the midway point of the season.

Mark Fotheringham's side return to action when they face county rivals Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on December 10.
