Leicester City winger Demarai Gray announces that he is ready to sign a new contract at the King Power Stadium.

Demarai Gray has confirmed that he is ready to sign a new contract at Leicester City.

The 21-year-old has been in talks with the club, with former boss Craig Shakespeare suggesting that a deal was close almost two months ago.

Discussions stalled, however, with the club undergoing a change of manager during that time, but Gray has now announced that putting pen to paper is just a formality.

"We obviously wanted to see who the new manager was," the England Under-21 international told Sky Sports News.

"But I'm happy playing football here and let my representatives deal with that side of it. When they give me the phone call we'll get it sorted.

"It's for my representative and the backroom staff to deal with. All I can do is what I've done [against Everton] and when it comes to getting sorted out we'll get to it."

Leicester, now managed by Claude Puel, rejected bids from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace for Gray in the summer.
