Leicester lineup vs. Brentford: Predicted XI for must-win clash at home in the Premier League

Full debut for Coulibaly in Justin's absence? Predicted Leicester XI vs. Brentford

Leicester City could be without right-back James Justin for the visit of Brentford at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Friday night.

Justin was forced off shortly before half time in the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, and the ankle injury he sustained will be assessed ahead of this one.

With Ricardo Pereira still sidelined due to a long-term muscle injury, that could open the door for recent recruit Woyo Coulibaly to make his full debut, after a £2m move from Parma last month, following a few substitute appearances since his arrival.

In the heart of defence, manager Ruud van Nistelrooy made the decision to drop Jannik Vestergaard after a difficult afternoon at Goodison Park which saw him hooked on the hour mark, with Italy international Caleb Okoli drafted in to replace him alongside Wout Faes.

The introduction of Okoli, as well as the returning Wilfred Ndidi, has seen an uptick in performance levels for the Foxes, as they have been competitive in their last two matches, despite falling to defeat against both Manchester United and Arsenal.

Ndidi is only recently back from a lengthy setback, and replaced Harry Winks in the starting XI for the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford two weeks ago, and his presence was notable, like how it was against Arsenal at the King Power last Saturday.

Out wide, Abdul Fatawu is out for the season with a ACL tear, but Van Nistelrooy still has four options to choose from, and he could be tempted to go with the more attack-minded pairing of Facundo Buonanotte and Stephy Mavididi over Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Jordan Ayew, after a fifth straight home game without a goal.

Captain Jamie Vardy will hope he can be the man to end that recent drought, and it would also see him notch his first career goal against Brentford, as the veteran striker has failed to find the net in four previous meetings with the Bees.

Leicester City possible starting lineup: Hermansen; Coulibaly, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Soumare, Ndidi; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy
