Nigel Pearson pleased with second-half showing

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson feels that his side's 2-1 win at Yeovil Town was fully deserved.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson was delighted with the second-half display from his team as they saw off a hard-working Yeovil Town to draw level on points with leaders Queens Park Rangers.

Goals from Lloyd Dyer and David Nugent were enough to secure three points and despite James Hayter's late consolation from the spot, Pearson felt that it was a fully deserved result.

After the game he told reporters: "It's a long journey for the fans. It's not the nicest night but we've had a performance from which I think the fans can see how much the players care.

"I think [Yeovil] will always be a tough proposition here. We had to cope with the night, the weather conditions and playing against a side who gave it a good old scrap."

Leicester next face Doncaster Rovers away on Saturday.
