Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs has admitted that he is hopeful his experience in the Champions League will stand him in good stead for his debut season in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old signed for the Foxes on a free transfer on a three-year deal after his contract with Schalke 04 expired in July.
Fuchs has revealed that he relished facing English teams in Europe's elite competition, and believes that he is more than capable of rising to the physical test of the Premier League.
He told the club's official website: "We played against good teams at Schalke in the Champions League, against Chelsea and Arsenal, and I liked that, I liked that football a lot.
"I think that can only help me and also to help the team. It's pretty physical, British football, that's the way I got to know it, and I like it a lot."
Leicester open the season against Sunderland on August 8 at the King Power Stadium.
