Beckford wins red card appeal

Leicester City have been successful in their appeal against the red card that Jermaine Beckford received at the weekend.

The striker was given his marching orders following an incident with Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk.

Beckford had been due to serve a three-match suspension, starting with this Saturday's home fixture against Cardiff City.

However, the Foxes opted to challenge the decision and the Football Association have now revoked the violent conduct charge.

The 28-year-old joined Leicester in August 2011 from Everton.
