Result: Leeds United 0-1 Middlesbrough

Leeds United are still searching for their first victory of the new Championship season after losing 1-0 to Middlesbrough at Elland Road.

The winning goal came in the 67th minute from Dutch striker Marvin Emnes, who curled the ball into the top right-hand corner of the net from inside the penalty area.

Both teams ended the match without the full quota of players, Max Gradel and Jonathan Howson seeing red for Leeds while Tony McMahon was dismissed for the visitors.

On Tuesday, August 16 Leeds play hosts to Hull City while Middlesbrough make a trip to Barnsley.
