Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Leeds United

Sports Mole peers ahead to the Championship match between playoff hopefuls Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United on Tuesday night.

Despite the recent off-field troubles at Leeds United, the club are after their third straight victory when they visit fellow Championship playoff hopefuls Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.

Brian McDermott's position as manager of the Yorkshire club looks to be secure again after new owner Massimo Cellino insisted that he would get behind him.

Leeds are just a point behind Brighton in the tight race for the playoffs. A win tomorrow will see them climb above Ipswich Town and into seventh place, two points shy of Reading in the top six.

McDermott has no new injury concerns and is likely to go with a starting XI similar to the one that came from behind to beat Yeovil Town on Saturday.

Brighton also come into the game on the back of a win after they edged past Doncaster Rovers on Saturday. Three points for them would move them to within a point of the playoffs.

Managers Oscar Garcia has expressed his happiness at the performance of January signings Dale Stephens and David Rodriguez, both of whom could start their second match in succession.

The reverse fixture between the two sides was on the opening day of the season when Luke Murphy scored a last-gasp winner for Leeds.
