Leeds close to Bielsa appointment?

Leeds United have reportedly moved to the brink of confirming the managerial appointment of Marcelo Bielsa.

At the start of the month, Leeds announced that they had parted company with Paul Heckingbottom after just 16 games in charge.

However, Bielsa had been linked with the Elland Road hotseat before Heckingbottom was sacked, and according to The Telegraph, the Yorkshire giants are close to sealing a deal for the 62-year-old.

After drawn-out negotiations, it has been claimed that Bielsa has agreed - in principle - to take charge of the Championship outfit next season.

Bielsa has been out of work since leaving Lille in December, while the Argentine can count roles with his national team, Chile and Athletic Bilbao as his biggest jobs in the dugout.
