Alex Mowatt, Daryl Murphy among Championship Player of the Month nominees

November's Championship Player of the Month award will be won by either Scott Carson, Solly March, Alex Mowatt or Daryl Murphy.

Derby County are showing the sort of form that had them down as promotion favourites before the start of the season, and goalkeeper Carson conceded just one goal last month as the Rams moved within touching distance of the top of the table.

Brighton & Hove Albion have been the pacesetters this year, and young winger March starred for the Seagulls in November with two goals including a 20-yard scorcher against MK Dons.

Mowatt, of Leeds United, scored two goal-of-the-season contenders against Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town, while Ipswich Town striker Murphy was back to his best.

The Irishman was last season's top scorer with 27 goals, but failed to score in his first 13 appearances this term before returning to form last month with six goals in four games, including a first career hat-trick against Rotherham United.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
