Lee Peltier is looking forward to facing Fernando Torres when Leeds United host Chelsea in the quarter-final of the League Cup on Wednesday.

Leeds United captain Lee Peltier has said that he is relishing the chance to take on Fernando Torres during his side's clash with Chelsea in the League Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old defender, who played under Rafael Benitez at Liverpool, says that he is not afraid of the Spain international, but admits that he needs to be alert against him all the time.

"I don't fear him," the Daily Mail quotes him as saying. "Obviously I've got to be on my guard and play to the best of my ability against a top-class player like that, but it brings out the best in you.

"If anybody's going to bring Torres back to form, then Rafa's the man. He brought him over to the English game and Torres's best years were under Rafa.

"He's been going through a sticky patch for whatever reason, but there's no doubt he's a top-class striker and he's proved that to the world. At any point he could score a goal."

Peltier left Liverpool to join Yeovil Town in 2008.
