Alessandro Matri excited by Lazio switch

Italy international Alessandro Matri has said that he is looking forward to playing for Lazio, following his loan move from AC Milan.

The 31-year-old will spend the season at the Rome outfit, and he has admitted that he is eager to impress at his new club.

"I can't wait to get started and do well," Matri told reporters.

"I will have time to work now [over the international break] and I'll make myself available for the coach (Stefano Pioli)."

Matri scored the winning goal in last season's Coppa Italia final for Juventus during a 2-1 victory against Lazio.
