Half-Time Report: Lazio frustrated by Roma

Lazio and Roma both fail to find the net during the first half of the Rome derby.

Lazio have been frustrated by Roma during a goalless first half in the Rome derby in Serie A.

The hosts came within inches of taking the lead with just seven minutes played when Miroslav Klose headed narrowly wide, while Lucas Biglia was denied by Morgan De Sanctis soon after.

Lazio continued to do most of the pressing for the remainder of the half as Roma struggled to keep pace with their local rivals.

The were also plenty of hefty challenges, with Francesco Totti, Senad Lulic, Seydou Keita and Biglia all picking up bookings.

Lazio created further chances through Antonio Candreva, who saw a shot deflected wide after failing to find any of his teammates with a free kick from out wide. However, the home side failed to make their dominance count come the end of the opening 45 minutes.
