Sunday's Serie A predictions including Juventus vs. Lazio

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Juventus vs. Lazio.

Side by side in the Serie A standings, and separated only by goal difference, Atalanta BC and Inter Milan meet in their final Serie A fixture of 2022 on Sunday.

The Lombardy rivals experienced very different results in midweek, as La Dea slumped to defeat in Lecce and Inter thumped Bologna 6-1.

We say: Atalanta BC 1-2 Inter Milan

Atalanta have endured a tough year on home soil and often come up just short against Serie A's top sides. As Inter have just smashed Bologna and - Lukaku aside - are almost at full strength, they can close out the first part of their campaign with a win against their fellow Nerazzuri.

Hellas Verona vs. Spezia (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Hellas Verona will be aiming to avoid heading into the World Cup at the foot of Serie A's table by ending their losing streak against Spezia on Sunday,

The visitors, meanwhile, will be guaranteed to remain outside of the bottom three should they avoid defeat.

We say: Hellas Verona 1-1 Spezia

Verona should have taken slight confidence from their match against Juventus in midweek despite losing to the Italian giants, and we can envisage their losing streak coming to an end on Sunday.

Spezia would likely be content with remaining outside of the relegation zone ahead of the World Cup by avoiding defeat, so it could be a stalemate at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.

Monza vs. Salernitana (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Monza will be aiming to move further away from the relegation zone when they host Salernitana in Serie A on Sunday.

The visitors, meanwhile, could head into the break for the World Cup in the top half of the table if they can gain a victory.

We say: Monza 1-2 Salernitana

Salernitana will be angry after falling to a late defeat against Fiorentina in midweek, and we can envisage them bouncing back with a win on Sunday.

Monza are at least one year behind their forthcoming opponents in terms of their development, and that may be more obvious than expected at the weekend.

Roma vs. Torino (Sunday, 2.00pm)

After taking just a point from their last two matches, Roma aim to end their Serie A schedule for 2022 on a high when they host Torino on Sunday.

In their final fixture before Italy's top flight shuts down and the World Cup takes centre stage, the Giallorossi tackle a side that closed to within two places of them in the table with a midweek win over Sampdoria.

We say: Roma 1-1 Torino

The last Serie A draw between Roma and Torino was almost seven years ago, but a low-scoring stalemate could be on the cards this week, as both sides have found the net at a rate barely over one-goal-per-game so far.

The Giallorossi have lacked invention since Dybala's departure for the treatment room, so their final Stadio Olimpico appearance of 2022 may prove to be something of a damp squib.

AC Milan vs. Fiorentina (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Having slipped to third and some eight points adrift of the Serie A summit, reigning champions AC Milan aim to conclude their 2022 schedule more successfully on Sunday, when they welcome Fiorentina to San Siro.

The Rossoneri were held by promoted Cremonese in midweek - their second straight stumble away from home - so will want to bolster their Scudetto defence by beating visitors running into top form just as the season stops for the World Cup.

We say: AC Milan 1-1 Fiorentina

Milan and Fiorentina have drawn only one of their last 14 Serie A meetings at San Siro, but another could follow this weekend, with the injury-hit home side starting to falter. Fresh from several successes on the road, a more resolute Viola are no longer pushovers when away from Florence - and they pose an attacking threat of their own.

Juventus vs. Lazio (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Despite recent failures in Europe, both Juventus and top-four rivals Lazio have been approaching top form in Italy of late, and they contest Serie A's final fixture of 2022 on Sunday.

The teams convene in Turin, separated only by two points and two places in the standings; with the hosts on a five-match winning streak in the top flight, and their capital city counterparts having lost just one league game since September.

We say: Juventus 1-1 Lazio

Only Barcelona have conceded fewer goals at home than Juventus (three) in the top five European leagues this term, while Lazio (one) have leaked the fewest away goals so far. Therefore, a high-scoring thriller is probably not on the cards in Turin, where the spoils will be shared in a tightly-contested draw.
