Sunday's Serie A predictions including Juventus vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Juventus vs. Inter Milan.

Fiorentina vs. Empoli (Sunday, 11.30am)

Seeking to remain in the hunt to qualify for European competition, Fiorentina will welcome Empoli to the Stadio Artemio Franchi for their Serie A encounter on Sunday afternoon.

Both La Viola and Gli Azzurri played out 1-1 draws in their most recent games before the international break, with the former claiming a point against Inter Milan and the latter sharing the spoils with Hellas Verona.

We say: Fiorentina 1-0 Empoli

Although Empoli have been struggling to secure all three points of late, they have managed to make life difficult for their opponents and have either claimed hard-fought draws or suffered defeat only by the odd goal.

Another low-scoring affair could be on the cards this weekend, but we can see Fiorentina edging out Gli Azzurri to claim a slender victory.

Atalanta vs. Napoli (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two of Serie A's top five clash on Sunday afternoon, as Atalanta BC host Scudetto contenders Napoli at the Gewiss Stadium.

While the visitors arrive in Bergamo to resume their pursuit of a long-awaited title - sitting just three points behind league leaders Milan - their hosts are in a scrap for a top-four finish following some faltering form before the international break.

We say: Atalanta BC 1-1 Napoli

While Napoli can boast one of the best away records in Europe this season - conceding only 11 goals in 15 outings - they are once again diminished by injury and suspension, so may be forced to settle for a draw.

Udinese vs. Cagliari (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Still fighting for Serie A survival, 17th-placed Cagliari visit Udinese on Sunday, trailing their hosts by five points and three places in the standings.

While the Isolani suffered a third straight defeat just before the international break - leaving them hovering precariously above the drop zone - the Bianconeri have taken enough points from a tough run of fixtures to secure a mid-table spot.

We say: Udinese 1-1 Cagliari

Only in September 2008 - incidentally, under current Juventus coach Max Allegri - have Cagliari previously lost four successive Serie A games without finding the net, and they can avoid such a fate by taking home a point on Sunday.

Sampdoria vs. Roma (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Aiming to keep the momentum building behind their top-six challenge, Roma visit struggling Sampdoria at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.

The Giallorossi return following the international break having brushed aside arch-rivals Lazio in the Derby della Capitale last time out, and they will encounter a Samp side yet to secure Serie A survival.

We say: Sampdoria 1-2 Roma

Though they picked up an important win just before the break, there is little to suggest that Samp are in the sort of shape to take down a motivated Roma side.

Juventus vs. Inter Milan (Sunday, 7.45pm)

In the third of a potential four encounters between the Italian heavyweights this season, Juventus and Inter Milan clash in Serie A's Sunday evening kickoff.

The eyes of the world will be on the latest Derby d'Italia, as following Inter's Supercoppa Italiana success the last time the clubs convened, Juve have closed a once yawning gap between them to a single point - and victory could even haul the Turin giants back into the Scudetto race.

We say: Juventus 1-0 Inter Milan

No side has kept more clean sheets than Juventus in Serie A this season (13, as many as Napoli), while conceding just over three shots on target per game.
