Conte banned for 10 months

Juventus manager Antonio Conte has been banned for 10 months for his involvement in a match-fixing scandal in Italy.

The 43-year-old, who led the Old Lady to the Serie A title in his first season in charge, has been found guilty of failing to report knowledge of match-fixing by Italian outfit Siena.

The Serie A side, who finished in 14th in the league last season, are alleged to have fixed six matches, including those against Albinoleffe and Novara.

The former Juventus midfielder has been joined by his assistant coach Angelo Alessio, who has been hit with an eight-month ban for his part in the scandal.
