How Juventus could line up against Sassuolo

How Juventus could line up against Sassuolo

Juventus will be looking to return to winning ways in Serie A when they visit Sassuolo on Sunday evening.

The Old Lady were held to a 3-3 draw by Parma last time out but still sit in a strong position at the top of the table, boasting a nine-point lead over second-placed Napoli.

The Italian champions are still unbeaten in Serie A this season - winning 19 of their 22 fixtures - but a defeat this weekend would leave them vulnerable, with Napoli having the chance to close the gap to six points on Saturday.

Visting Sassuolo are 11th in the table entering the clash with Juve, losing just six of their 22 league fixtures this term.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Juve could line up against Sassuolo this weekend.

Out: Juan Cuadrado (knee), Andrea Barzagli (thigh), Giorgio Chiellini (calf), Leonardo Bonucci (ankle)

Juventus still have serious problems in defence ahead of Sunday's fixture, with centre-backs Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli all still on the sidelines.

Mehdi Benatia has left the club for Qatar, meanwhile, meaning that new signing from Lazio, Martin Caceres, is expected to continue alongside Daniele Rugani in central defence.

Juan Cuadrado is also still on the sidelines with a knee problem, but Mario Mandzukic returned from a thigh injury against Parma last weekend and the 2018 World Cup finalist should continue in the XI.

Emre Can and Rodrigo Bentancur are also pushing for starts, but there will be no changes in attack as Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala prepare to line up once again.
