Paul Pogba: 'We must beat Real Madrid'

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has admitted that victory in Tuesday's clash with Real Madrid is imperative to get their Champions League campaign back on track.

Antonio Conte's side have failed to win any of their first three group games this season, with a 2-1 defeat in Madrid last month leaving them off the pace in Group B.

Pogba concedes that beating Madrid is essential if they are to salvage their hopes of progressing to the knockout stages, after scoring the winner in last night's 1-0 success at Parma.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "It was a very difficult and important game, so it is fundamental that we got the three points here.

"Parma were one of the form teams of the last few weeks and we won a tough fixture. I honestly thought Fabio Quagliarella's shot was going in, but I followed it up anyway and managed to score on the rebound off the crossbar.

"Now we must be ready for Real Madrid, as we need to win this time in the Champions League."

The Frenchman's third goal of the season proved enough to earn a narrow success at Parma that moved the Bianconeri to within two points of league leaders Roma.
