Didier Drogba: 'Ivory Coast mean business'

Didier Drogba insists that the Ivory Coast are taking their participation at World Cup very seriously.

Didier Drogba has insisted that the Ivory Coast are not at the World Cup just to make up the numbers.

The Elephants got their campaign off to a winning start on Sunday as they fought back to beat Japan 2-1.

Despite claims that the African nations are weaker than in recent years, Drogba has revealed that the Ivorians are taking the tournament very seriously.

"We may look relaxed, but this is no joke for us," the striker is quoted as saying by FIFA.com. "We're here to work and to do the job. We want to play hard, play as a team and be focused."

The Ivorians continue their campaign on Thursday when they take on Colombia, who defeated Greece 3-0 in their opening match.
