Mario Balotelli injured in training for Italy

Italy striker Mario Balotelli is a major doubt for the Azzurri's Group C decider with Ireland after suffering an injury in training.

The Manchester City forward has missed today's training with a knee problem and could lose his place to Antonio Di Natale for Monday's crunch clash.

Di Natale has replaced Balotelli in each of Italy's first two matches, featuring as a scoring substitute against Spain.

Balotelli will be desperate to overcome his knee injury and fire the Azzurri into the Euro 2012 quarter-finals against Ireland on June 18.
