Ipswich secure short-term Kenny signing

Championship promotion hopefuls Ipswich Town have signed veteran goalkeeper Paddy Kenny on a four-month contract until May.

The 36-year-old joins the Tractor Boys a day after he left another second-tier side in Bolton Wanderers.

He will be the back-up keeper to Bartosz Bialkowski and replace Dean Gerken, who is out injured with a hip flexor problem, as the Blues' number two stopper.

Kenny will wear the number 35 shirt and is eligible to be in the squad for tomorrow night's game at Brighton & Hove Albion.
