Ipswich Town closing in on former Crawley Town winger Jordan Roberts?

Ipswich Town are reportedly closing in on the signature of free agent Jordan Roberts.

The former Crawley Town winger's contract at the Broadfield Stadium expired at the end of last season, with manager Harry Kewell not wishing to keep him on at the club.

Roberts scored nine goals in 58 appearances for the League Two side, after spells at Aldershot Town and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

According to the Ipswich Star, Roberts is near to signing for the Blues ahead of the upcoming Championship season.

The left-sided player has also played for Bishop's Stortford and Tamworth.
