David McGoldrick leaves Ipswich Town to become free agent

David McGoldrick has left Ipswich Town following the expiration of his contract.

Tractor Boys manager Paul Hurst has confirmed that the 30-year-old will not be offered a new deal, heralding the end of his five-year stay at Portman Road.

McGoldrick established himself as a key figure for Ipswich after joining the club from Nottingham Forest in 2013, but he has struggled with injuries in recent seasons.

The forward made 159 appearances for the Blues and scored 45 goals for them.

According to the Ipswich Star, McGoldrick is seeking a new club in the Midlands area, where his family is based.
