Team News: Mick McCarthy makes four Ipswich Town changes for visit of Blackburn Rovers

Mick McCarthy makes an unusual four changes to his Ipswich Town side for tonight's visit of Blackburn Rovers.

Mick McCarthy has broken the mould of starting a similar Ipswich Town side by making four changes for the visit of Blackburn Rovers this evening.

The goalkeeper and back four remain from Saturday's victory at Charlton Athletic but there are four changes in midfield and attack as Carlos Edwards, Luke Hyam, Stephen Hunt and Frank Nouble come in for Paul Anderson, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Jay Tabb and Daryl Murphy.

Visitors Blackburn, who also enter the match on the back of a 1-0 win at the weekend over Leeds United, have two changes in their lineup.

DJ Campbell, who thrived on loan at Ipswich last season, is back at Portman Road in the starting lineup ahead of David Dunn while Lee Williamson also comes in for Chris Taylor.

Ipswich: Gerken; Chambers, Berra, Smith, Cresswell; Edwards, Hyam, Skuse, Hunt; McGoldrick, Nouble

Blackburn: Kean; Kane, Dann, Hanley, Spurr; Cairney, Lowe, Williamson, King; Campbell, Rhodes
