McCarthy hints at Adekunle involvement

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has suggested that he could use Jordan Adekunle at some stage this season.

The 17-year-old joined the Tractor Boys last month having impressed McCarthy during a trial period in pre-season.

Discussing the teenage winger, McCarthy has claimed that while he may not be ready to start a Championship encounter, the former Crawley Town player could soon be among the substitutes.

"Jordan has been training with us. He has got something and he might be a sub at some stage as he has got a fair bit of pace and might be a surprise package but I don't think he is ready yet," the East Anglian Daily Times quotes McCarthy as saying.

Adekunle could be included in the squad for Ipswich's next match against Middlesbrough after the international break.
