The Football Association has charged Ipswich Town teenager Ted Bishop with alleged multiple breaches of betting rules.

In a statement this afternoon, the FA said that Bishop, 18, had breached rule E8, which prohibits players from betting on football matches.

The central-midfielder has until Monday, June 1 to respond to the charge.

Bishop broke into the Ipswich first team this season, making 36 appearances and scoring one goal for the Tractor Boys.
