Internacional deny Leandro Damiao offer

Internacional director of football Luis Cesar Souto de Moura has quelled suggestions that Southampton have made a bid for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.

It was suggested that the Saints have made a £17m offer for the 23-year-old, but the Brazilian club have denied such claims.

"Nothing has come, clubs from everywhere sound him out all the time, but we don't even consider that anymore, as there are too many enquiries but offers never come," he told Esporte Interativo.

"I am working with the idea of keeping the player so that he doesn't leave."

Tottenham Hotspur have also long been linked with his services.
