Wife: 'Wesley Sneijder will not leave Inter Milan'

Wesley Sneijder's wife has revealed that the Dutch playmaker will not leave Inter Milan in January.

The 28-year-old is currently not playing after refusing to accept the Italian club's proposal to take a pay cut on his €6m (£4.8m) annual salary and extend his contract from 2015 to 2016.

"He will not go away," Yolanthe wrote on Twitter. "I too am sad for this situation.

"We hope that everything goes well."

Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009.
