Micah Richards's prospective move to Inter Milan is reportedly on the brink of collapse as Fiorentina have reportedly decided to keep him for the remainder of his loan.

The Manchester City defender has spent the last six months with the Italian side, but speculation is rife that Inter were preparing a deadline-day swoop.

The 26-year-old right-back is keen on a reunion with former City boss Roberto Mancini at San Siro but, according to the Daily Mail, Fiorentina are reluctant to cancel his loan.

Richards has started just two Serie A games for the Viola this season.
