Preview: Inter Milan vs. Lazio

Inter Milan go into their Serie A encounter with Lazio having recorded their first league win in six games on Monday evening.

Mateo Kovacic and Andrea Ranocchia were on the scoresheet at Chievo as Roberto Mancini finally saw his team move in the right direction in the standings.

Despite the win, Inter are still only in 11th position but victory on Sunday night could take them to within three points of Lazio, who currently sit in fourth.

However, Lazio have put together three victories in a row and coach Stefano Pioli will be confident of earning a result at the San Siro.

Their latest victory came at home to Atlanta last week in a game which saw captain Stefano Mauri net twice in 20 second-half minutes.

That took the 34-year-old's tally from midfield to six goals, and Pioli will be hoping that he can help continue his side's solid run with another stand-out display.
