Inter appoint Mancini as manager

Inter Milan have confirmed the appointment of Roberto Mancini as their new manager after sacking Walter Mazzarri on Friday.

The club are currently ninth in Serie A having won just four times in 11 games this season.

Former Manchester City boss Mancini, who led Inter to three successive Serie A titles from 2006 to 2008, returns to the San Siro after leaving Galatasaray in June.

According to reports, the Italian has signed a deal until 2017.

A press conference to officially present Mancini will be held on Saturday.
