Hull City boss Steve Bruce: 'We deserved FA Cup replay against Arsenal'

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says that their FA Cup fifth-round replay against Arsenal is fully deserved.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has claimed that his team are fully deserving of an FA Cup fifth-round replay against Arsenal following Saturday's stalemate.

The Championship outfit managed to keep the Gunners at bay for 90 minutes at the Emirates as goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic made 11 saves overall.

It has not yet been decided by the Football Association when the replay will be held, but it adds to Hull's already congested fixture schedule.

"I don't know when we're going to play," The Express quotes Bruce as saying. "That's added to the fixture pile-up we've got.

"We made 10 changes and we rode our luck a bit, but the team deserved it for the spirit and the 100% effort they gave. It bodes well when I see the strength in depth we've got, because we're going to need it."

This afternoon's match was the third consecutive season that Hull and Arsenal have met in the FA Cup.
