Early Harriot goal enough for Charlton

Charlton Athletic have recorded a 1-0 win over Hudderfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium.

The Addicks took an early lead through Callum Harriot, who smashed home after being set up by Chris Solly in the fourth minute of the game.

David Button then made a save from point-blank range to keep out Theo Robinson's header.

Alex Smithies was alert at the other end to stop Danny Haynes from doubling the visitors' lead.

Oscar Gobern forced another save from Button as the hosts came on strong on the second period.

Alan Lee nearly rescued a point at the death, but Chris Powell once again had his keeper to thank for repelling his effort deep in injury time.
